For celebrity trainer Lacey Stone, becoming a Revenge Body pro alongside host Khloé Kardashian was a life-changing moment.
“Khloé personally picked me for Revenge Body because of the adversities in my life — divorce, teasing for my sexuality and being overweight as child — which make me a compassionate trainer who understands and can execute transformation from the inside out,” the celebrity trainer exclusively shared with Us Weekly.
She continued: “Khloé was so passionate about this project and wanted to be sure her trainers were too. She was so warm and truly invested in the cast members and those that were there to help them.”
The fitness pro also revealed that she benefited from the show as much as those she trained. “It was so amazing to share my joy for transforming lives with the world. There were highs and lows with all of my clients but that is what it is to be successful in everything you do,” the creator of The Stone Method told Us. “You have to fight for your results, you have to earn them. I teach my clients how to not let the mistakes of the past break them. Revenge Body is about teaching clients to let them make you into the person you were born to be!”
Inspired by her time on the Good American designer’s show as well as the time constraints of her celebrity clients, which include Casey Wilson, Kieran Shipka, Kelly Osbourne and Mary Louise Parker, Stone created a virtual fitness program which launched earlier this month to share her workouts with everyone. “Because my clients have such demanding schedules, I created an online virtual training platform so they can workout with me while they’re on set,” she told Us. “My workouts are designed to create lean strong muscles by fusing HIIT cardio drills, resistance training and dance.”
She also trains stars such as Wilson in person: The fitness expert revealed that she has been working out with the 37-year-old Marry Me actress for more than a year four times a week. “She gives me her entire heart when work outing out. We don’t do shortcuts we make the most of our time together giving one hundred percent to every minute,” Stone told Us. “She works her ass off, never complains and my favorite part is that she’s a great person.”
According to the expert, their workouts typically include a five-minute warmup of functional movements to get her muscles warmed up with a mix of light yoga inspired athletic stretching. Next, three separate HIIT moves are done in intervals of three without stopping three times.
Round one of Stone’s sweat sessions with Wilson involve signature HIIT exercises, which target various areas of the body, such as an explosive medicine ball slam to work the core and give a cardio burst, single leg booty lifts for rear-sculpting and speed skaters to target the inner and outer thigh while also providing a cardio element.
For round two, the trainer will have the Happy Endings star do chest-defining push-ups and dumbbell lunge jumps to get her heart rate up, followed by a plank series to define the core.
Lastly, round three might include resistance band bicep curls and shoulder presses, tricep dips and a fast footwork cardio blast.
“I believe that fitness starts in the mind, not the body. Before we even think about working out, I need to figure out how they can stay mentally strong with their hectic schedules,” Stone told Us. “It’s easy to be fit when you have the right motivation to do it.”
For the reality star, receiving a serious commitment from all of her clients is also crucial to delivering lasting results. “My favorite mantra is ‘All Day’,” she told Us in June. “I don’t want my clients to be great, I want them to be legendary. Fitness is a long game and not a one-month challenge. If you want lasting results, you must be willing to go all day.”
