Resurfaced Reports Show That Tom Cruise May End up Paying for Suri’s Major Life Change

Despite Tom Cruise being estranged from him and Katie Holmes’s daughter Suri Cruise, ever since he and Holmes divorced in 2012, it seems he may end up being the one to heavily contribute to Suri’s college tuition.

While the Mission Impossible star will have literally no say in the college she chooses, it does seem like he may up footing the bill.

Tom’s child support payments are reported to total just over $33,000 per month, totaling around $400,000 per year. But along with that, one major requirement in the divorce proceedings has resurfaced, especially since Suri is so close to entering college! Per Hollywood Reporter, Cruise is required to pay Suri’s expenses, such as medical, education, college, and more.

But, will Suri be going to college? More than likely, because per DailyMail, she’s reportedly been looking at prestigious schools to study fashion. While she’s reportedly been applying “all over the place,” she’ll more than likely stay in NYC to study fashion.

Now, here’s the thing: Holmes receives this monthly payment until Suri turns 18. Her 18th birthday will be on April 18 next year. So multiple possibilities can happen: either Holmes saved up over the years and they won’t have to worry about tuition, they could pay it in full if that option is available, or the first year will be covered. Another option is that since Cruise has to pay for college, the payments may be extended until after she graduates.

In any case, we just hope Suri will have an amazing time at college!
