New Netflix for kids and teens in November: ‘Grease,’ ‘Trolls,’ holiday specials

Netflix in November sees the return of a few favorite kids’ series, the launch of some new original series, and a host of holiday movies.

Plus, peachy keen, jelly bean! “Grease” is available right out of the gates on Nov. 1. 

Back this month is “Llama, Llama,” “Trolls: The Beat Goes On!” and “She-Ra.”

Among the new series is a sitcom starring Dennis Quaid called “Merry Happy Whatever” about a dad who, in the midst of the holiday season, learns his daughter is bringing home a new boyfriend. 

Hello Ninja,” about best friends who enter a magical world, and “Dino Girl Gauko,” about a girl who transforms into a fire-breathing dinosaur, are two more new series for younger kids.   

Teens have a lot of look forward to in holiday films, like “Let it Snow,” based on the best-selling book, and starring Kiernan Shipka of the “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.”

A pastor strives to modernize a 19th-century town but the town folk believe a tradition that whoever lights the candle an angel touched will experience a Christmas Eve miracle. Rated: PG

Christmas Survival

Two sisters must spend Christmas at their parents’ broken-down family country house after their comfortable existence is upended by their mother’s affair and father’s work issues. Rated: PG-13.

Elliot the Littlest Reindeer

Blitzen retires leaving Elliot, a miniature horse, a chance to fulfill his chance at becoming one of Santa’s reindeer. But a wicked lady threatens Elliot’s farm friends complicating his quest. Rated: PG.

Sandy (Olivia Newton John), a visiting Aussie, and Danny (John Travolta), a T-bird, are meant for each other. If only the ’50s high-school game-playing would stop in this popular musical. Rated: PG-13

Hello Ninja

In this new animated Netflix series, best friends Wesley and Georgie enter a magic world after turning ninja to save the day along with their sidekick cat, Pretzel. Rated: Not yet rated.

Holly Star

A penniless puppeteer returns home for the holidays and finds herself in a treasure hunt with her best friend, grandmother and the love she left behind. Rated: PG.

Santa Girl

Santa Claus’ only daughter is off to college to experience life before she marries the son of Jack Frost and joins dad in the family business. Rating: Not yet rated
