Jim Edmonds has a message for everyone talking about his wife. The former baseball player took to Instagram on Monday, July 2, to rave over his wife, Meghan King Edmonds. The couple welcomed twin boys, Hayes and Hart, on June 5. Following the birth, they posed for a photoshoot exclusively for Us Weekly, showing off their gorgeous new family.
“My beautiful wife with her new precious cargo,” Jim, 47, captioned a makeup-free photo of the former Bravo star holding their boys. “So many people commented on my wife’s face in the @usweekly spread. Trying to figure out what happened to her or what work she had done. So I decided to come clean. The twins put 50 lbs on her. (It’s called pregnancy) Here’s a picture she sent me 1 week after the photo shoot. What do we think now??” He also added “#blessed” at the end of the photo.

Meghan, 33, opened up to Us Weekly after having the twins, revealing she didn’t feel pressured to get her body back. “I feel like I need to allow my body some time to adjust back to how it was before. It will, and if it doesn’t, that’s OK too because I grew three lives inside of me,” she told Us. “Of course things are probably going to shift around and that’s completely fine, it’s like a badge of honor. But at the same time, I want to be healthy and I’m proud of my body, whatever it may be, and I want to treat it well.”
The couple also share daughter Aspen, 18 months, who has been “amazing” with the twins, Meghan shared.
“She loves helping them. Like, if there’s a bottle, she gets the bottle and tries to feed them. And we let her,” the retail development specialist told Us. “Or she’ll say she wants to hold them and she’ll put her arms around and we’ll let her hold them. So we’re trying to really integrate her into their lives so she doesn’t get jealous of them.”
While the twins have their own room, Aspen also has a section in the room so that she doesn’t feel left out. “I put a baby slide in there and Aspen loves to play on it,” Meghan said. “I mean, they’re twins. They’re going to share a room. So I wanted to include the third baby.”
