Coparenting at its finest! Teen Mom OG star Maci Bookout shared a photo to Instagram Stories on Monday, February 4, with ex Ryan Edwards’ wife, Mackenzie Standifer, and their shared children, as Ryan remains in jail.
The snap, first posted to Chattanooga, Tennessee-based photographer Christan George’s Instagram Opens a New Window. on Monday, showed the two mothers sharing a blanket with Bookout’s son Bentley, 11, whom she shares with Edwards, 28, daughter Jayde, 3, and son Maverick, 2, whom she shares with husband Taylor McKinney, Mackenzie’s son Hudson, 4, from a previous relationship, and Jagger, 3 months, whom she shares with Edwards.
“You can tell who the strong women are,” George captioned his post. “They are the ones building up one another instead of tearing each other down … I admire both of these women for different reasons. Grateful I got to hangout with these ladies and was able to snap a few of these sweet women and their even sweeter squad of babies.”
Standifer, 22, also shared the picture to her Instagram Stories.
Us Weekly confirmed that Edwards was arrested on January 23 for heroin possession and theft after walking out on a $36 bar tab for whiskey shots at Bud’s Sports Bar in December.
Though his court date is scheduled for February 6 according to Radar Online Opens a New Window. , who were first to report the news, Us confirmed that the TV personality will remain in jail until April 15.
Edwards was first arrested for heroin possession in March 2017 and checked into rehab two months later after he appeared to fall asleep at the wheel on the way to his wedding to Standifer during a June 2017 episode of the hit MTV series.
He was taken into custody again in March 2018 after violating his parole and once more in July 2018 on two counts of simple possession of heroin.
The Teen Mom alum checked into rehab for the second time in September and returned home to his family in November. Standifer, who gave birth to Jagger in Edwards’ absence on a December episode of Teen Mom OG, gushed over him in January with a selfie of herself and her love. She also answered fan questions about why she chose to stay with him amid his drug issues.
“Do you burn your house down when it’s dirty? No. Do you set your car on fire when it needs a new part? No,” she wrote on her Instagram Story at the time. “Just because someone has a problem doesn’t give you an excuse to give up … God has blessed me with the most caring husband and kids. It’s hard to be vulnerable and it means so much to have them in my corner. Don’t give up on love. It’s real. It breaks walls that have been built out of stone. Thankful for a man who accepts me for who I am and what I have been through and supports me even when I feel broken. As much as I have been there for him, he’s been there for me 10x over.”
