Linda Evangelista brought a very special guest with her to the Caring for Women Dinner last night — her 16-year-old son Augustin! The charity event was co-chaired by Augustin’s father, Francois-Henri Pinault and his wife Salma Hayek, and “benefited NGOs that address gender-based violence.” We love to see a mother-son date!
The two walked the red carpet hand-in-hand, wearing perfectly-coordinated outfits. Both donned black dress suits with white shirts underneath. Augustin buttoned his blazer over his white collared shirt, and Evangelista left hers open to reveal a white shirt that tied at the top.
And their outfits weren’t the only things that matched. The pair look exactly alike (see below). Take notice of their eyebrow shape (yes!), wide lips, defined jawlines, and identical ears, and tell us you’re not seeing double!
It’s hard to say how Augustin felt about his stylish ensemble. Based on Evangelista’s 2013 interview with Harper’s Bazaar, he may have been unhappy, but a lot can change in 10 years.
“Let’s just say I have a child who doesn’t like fashion,” the model told the outlet at the time. “He wants jerseys. We watch sports and go to games. I do boy things now.”
Augustin may not enjoy fashion, but when your mom is one of the first supermodels, being in the modeling spotlight just may be destiny. After all, he has been exposed to the industry since he was literally in utero; Evangelista was pregnant for the cover shoot for the August 2006 issue of Vogue.

His stepmother, too, is the epitome of glam. Evangelista has spoken in glowing terms about her co-parenting relationship with Hayek and Pinault, even saying that one year when she was sick at Thanksgiving, Hayek flew to her house and made a feast so she wouldn’t miss the holiday. Hayek is every bit the doting stepmom, telling Red magazine in 2017, “I always wanted to have a lot of children, and I was not able to. My body, as a miracle, had one. The huge blessing I’ve had is that my husband has three other children.”
Augustin will celebrate his 17th birthday next month. Last year, Evangelista marked the occasion with a carousel of photos and the caption, “My heart. My light. 16” A recent photo of the two and one from when Augustin was young (probably around the time he wanted to wear jerseys) showed that they looked as alike then as they do now. And we’re not the only ones who think so.
“He looks just like you🔥🔥🔥,” one person commented.
“Awww🙏your little you 😉😉😃☝️👍😇🌸😇🌸🫶🙏,” another said.
Well, not so little anymore. Now he’s a teen who’s walking the red carpet. Not too shabby.
