The Kardashians and Barkers are going to be joined by a new family member in a matter of months, and they’ve officially shared the sex of the baby with the world.
In an Instagram video jointly posted by Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker, the couple sat outside at a drum set with Kardashian on Barker’s lap. Surrounded by their loved ones, the Blink-182 drummer played a drum roll while locking lips with the Poosh founder as they waited for streamers to launch into the air announcing their baby’s sex. After a few moments of anticipation, the cannons blasted behind the couple to reveal that their baby is… a boy!

Friends and family cheered in the background, with one of the Kardashian sisters exclaiming, “I knew it!” and another loved one repeatedly shouting, “What did I say?” Kardashian and Barker were in their own bubble as they embraced, shared a happy kiss with their signature PDA-filled flair, and exchanged quiet words with beaming smiles.
The comments were flooded with congratulatory messages and admiration for the couple’s palpable love for each other. One user wrote, “I love how they dont even look at anyone else when they’re together,” while another penned, “I’ve never seen her this happy. It’s like she constantly has butterflies in her stomach. I’m so happy for her 👏🏽💙.”

Fan Theories on Baby Barker’s Name
The internet is abuzz with theories about the name Kardashian and Barker will bestow on their son, with many convinced that they’re certain of the baby’s moniker.
While some joked on Twitter that the couple might name their child “Skull,” “Drumstick,” or “Blink,” other more detail-oriented Kravis fans pointed to the music-inspired name that Barker revealed himself in November 2021.
Commenting under a photo his wife shared of their True Romance-themed costumes for Halloween that year, the drummer wrote, “Our son’s name would be Elvis.” The movie was allegedly the inspiration behind Barker’s youngest daughter’s name, Alabama, after the female lead in the 1993 film, which has eagle-eyed fans doubling down on their insistence that the baby’s name will be Elvis.

Fan Speculation About the Due Date
A day ahead of their sex reveal, Kardashian shared a carousel of photos on Instagram, including one of her baring her bump in a string bikini. However, many fans were more absorbed by the caption of the photos than the images themselves.
The Lemme founder wrote, “sweet summer 🥝🥑🍐🥭,” and people quickly assumed the fruit emojis chosen by Kardashian were an indicator of how far along she is in her pregnancy. Referring to the sizes of a fetus at certain stages of gestation, one person commented, “Avocado is 14 weeks, pear 17 weeks, mango 19 weeks… So she’s in her second trimester at around 19/20 weeks.”
The couple has yet to confirm the baby’s due date, but it’s been a heavily debated topic since they announced the news just over a week ago.

A Difficult Fertility Journey
Kardashian and Barker’s pregnancy comes after a difficult fertility journey, including unsuccessful rounds of IVF. During a 2022 episode of The Kardashians, the 44-year-old revealed, “Travis and I want to have a baby, and so my doctor took us down this road of doing IVF and it hasn’t been the most amazing experience.”
During the 2023 season premiere of the reality show, Kardashian shared that she and Barker were “officially done with IVF” and reiterated that it “took a toll” on her mental and physical health that she couldn’t continue living with. “We would love a baby more than anything, but I really believe in what God has in store for us,” Kardashian added. “If that’s a baby, I believe it will happen.”
