Jessica Alba Swears This Product Will Help Bath Time Go More Smoothly With Toddlers

Like many moms, for actress and mother-of-three Jessica Alba, life experiences as a parent inspire her work. And so, during her third pregnancy with her son Hayes (now 4 years old), Alba went to the chemists at the organic baby brand she founded, Honest Company, for help. Craving a body care for pre- and post-natal needs, she launched new lotions and washes for mamas.

“My kids, my son, my husband, everybody has dry skin, especially when the seasons are changing,” says Alba. Cue the Honest’s new Cleansing Body Conditioner, a moisturizing body wash that she keeps in her kids’ bathrooms and her own shower. It’s a “crowdpleaser,” she says. It’s especially useful for keeping her toddler’s skin from getting dry.

“This boy [Hayes] knows how to run quickly. And for some reason he really wants to run away from me right out of the bath when I want to moisturize him. He needs to have lotion and oil and some combination of that on his skin. His skin is so dry,” she says. “And this is a nice way — if he’s not in the mood and he’s not into, you know, putting on moisturizer – it sort of does it in the shower. You can put the skin conditioner on in the shower, and it leaves the skin nice and moisturized, so you don’t necessarily need always to put it on or apply moisturizer after that.”

We’ll take it! Anything to make transitions with a toddler more seamless! “It’s kind of a game-changer because it makes bath time go easier,” she says.
