Heidi Montag was feeling a bit emotional on her son Gunner’s first birthday.
“God is amazing. Gunner is just such a blessing and I can’t believe it’s already been a year,” a choked up Montag said wiping away invisible tears in a Monday, October 1, Instagram Story. “It’s been the most amazing and challenging year of my entire life. But it’s just been so great, every moment.”
To celebrate the milestone, the 32-year-old mom and her husband, Spencer Pratt, staged a professional photo shoot. In one picture, the adorable toddler sported a newsboy cap and vest. “I can’t believe it’s been one year already! Little love and light of my life!” Montag captioned the shot on Instagram. “You made all my hopes and dreams come true. I prayed for you my entire life and you are beyond what I could imagine.”
The Hills alum treated the little boy to birthday lunch where he sampled his very first French fry! They also took him to Jennifer Meyer’s jewelry boutique. “Whatever you want, you can have!” Montag quipped in her Instagram Story. She then joked: “You want something for Mommy? You’re so sweet.” Later, the trio went for a hike — but Gunner missed the view. He fell asleep!
Proud dad Pratt, 35, revisited footage from the day Gunner was born on his Instagram. “Happy birthday ‘miracle baby,’” wrote the owner of Pratt Daddy Crystals. “Thank you for infinite blessings.”
Fans will will get to see more of the family in MTV’s The Hills: New Beginnings. The unscripted series will reunite original cast members including Audrina Patridge, Justin Bobby and Jason Wahler.
