Gwyneth Paltrow 'Really Wanted' to Have a Third Child

Longing for more. Gwyneth Paltrow revealed there was a time when she wanted to have more children.

“All I’m saying is it’s not nothing,” the Avengers: Infinity War actress, 45, said in a New York Times profile published on Wednesday, July 25, of her previous desire to have a third child. “I really wanted another one.” The article suggests that Paltrow’s age and business kept her from producing another mini-me.

This portion of the Goop founder’s interview occurred during a February dinner, where her ex-husband, Chris Martin, their two children — Apple, 14, and Moses, 12 — and her fiancé, Brad Falchuk, were also present.

New York Times writer Taffy Brodesser-Akner noted that Apple and Moses practiced their musical instruments in another room with Martin while she and Paltrow talked. “He’s going to play AC/DC,” she raved about her son. “He keeps such good time.”

Despite her recent confession, Paltrow has been open about her and Falchuk’s decision to not add more children to their brood. “Neither of us want more kids,” she revealed during a May appearance on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show. “We’re on the same team.” The American Horror Story producer, 47, shares son Brody and daughter Isabella with ex-wife Suzanne Bukinik.

The Oscar winner wished both Martin — whom she split from in March 2014 after 10 years of marriage — and Falchuk a happy Father’s Day in June. In a post dedicated to the 41-year-old Coldplay singer, she called him “a ray of sunshine.” Meanwhile, she dubbed her fiancé “extraordinary” in a separate tribute.

The betrothed couple are planning a “small and personal” September wedding that will take place in New York, sources told Us Weekly earlier this month. Paltrow and Falchuk’s children “will have a part in the ceremony,” for which only 15 to 20 guests will be present.
