We will never not be grateful for LEGO — well, except for those times when we step on those bricks with bare feet. The genius way that company offers not only open play but also instructions in its kits that are easy to follow, even for kids who can’t read yet, has saved us on many a sick day, snow day, and lazy day. So yeah, when we’re shopping at Costco for the essentials of our “new normal,” LEGO kits can absolutely be allowed on that list. Especially since we just found out there’s a sale on them!
A tip from the Instagram account @CostcoDeals tipped us off over the weekend that some of its smaller kits are available at the stores for just $22.99. If there ever were a time to get your Costco membership here, it is now.
One of the kits included in that post is the LEGO Friends Glamping, set, which is also available at Target.com for $23.99. (That store is having its own LEGO sale, and it looks like the regular price is $29.99.)
There’s also the LEGO Marvel Spiderjet vs. Venom Mech kit and the LEGO City Fire Chief Response Truck, which sell on Amazon for $23.99.
Looking to buy yourself more peaceful minutes while the kids are busy? There are bigger LEGO sets on Costco.com. LEGO Disney Princess Elsa’s Magical Ice Palace is available to members only for $69.99. Those 701 pieces should definitely help you put off a 400th viewing of Frozen II.
There’s also this LEGO City Deep Space rocket and launch control set, which has a whopping 837 pieces.
Come to think of it, as much as we need to keep our kids occupied while we do other things, we bet it’s going to be hard not to join them in building these. That’s even more essential than toilet paper.

While you’re at it, you can also stock up on baby books at Costco!
