Luna Legend has a big birthday coming up (three is a big birthday, right?) and it’s no surprise that her mom is ready to pull out all the stops to celebrate her little girl’s special day. Chrissy Teigen is planning a Disney-themed birthday party for Luna, and it sounds like it will be fit for a princess.
In an interview with US Weekly, Teigen shared that Luna is all about princesses right now and that’s how the Lip Sync Battle host chose the party’s theme. “She’s very into Disney movies,” Teigen added. “I think we might do that, but she’s not gonna know until we’re there. I think we’re just gonna keep it small, keep it family, and make her Disney dreams come true. But it won’t even be on the day.”
Teigen’s decision to keep Luna’s birthday party small and low-key comes from experience and makes total sense. “I think we’ve been to enough kid’s birthday parties here in L.A. to know that, ‘OK, we can’t do this.’ Because even the kid is freaking out,” she told US Weekly. “They don’t seem to ever have a good time. All the other kids have a great time, but the kid is usually totally overwhelmed, and a lot of the times it’s for the parents, honestly.”
Luna’s princess party won’t fall on her actual birthday, and Teigen plans to have an even more low-key celebration on April 14. “We’re gonna do a small thing at the house,” she shared.
As she approaches her third birthday, Luna is hitting all sorts of exciting milestones — Teigen recently shared a video of Luna eating her very first Happy Meal, and the toddler also took her first dance lesson over the weekend.
“KILLING ITTTTTT,” her proud mama captioned a video of Luna in class.
Between snacking on delicious food and learning some killer dance moves, it looks like three may be Luna’s busiest year yet — and what better way to kick it off than by celebrating like a princess?
