Sevigny recently shared her solidarity with other mothers expecting during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
"I hope all expecting families are finding some calm," she wrote on Instagram after New York-Presbyterian hospitals announced that partners of pregnant women would not be allowed in the delivery room as a safety measure during the public health crisis. "Today’s news in NY was very distressing for all."
News of Sevigny’s pregnancy first broke this past January, when her rep confirmed to PEOPLE that the Oscar-nominated actress, 45, was expecting her first child. The couple was spotted on a stroll in New York City, smiling with one another as Mackovic embraced her growing baby bump before they shared a kiss.
Mackovic, who is the director of Karma Art Gallery in N.Y.C., has been in a relationship with the actress for more than a year.
While Sevigny remained mum about the sex of her child throughout her pregnancy, she told Who What Wear in a 2018 interview with Kristen Stewart that she “better have a daughter soon” so that she can pass down some of her favorite vintage clothes, including the prom dress that both she and her mom wore to their school dances.

“I have pieces that I wore over and over again in high school. My collection is vast and exhaustive and a little embarrassing,” the Lizzie star shared. “Just all the pieces that I hold and think about what was happening when I was wearing them. The sense memory of that.”
She continued, “I still have the shirt I wore in the movie Kids. I have the bunny ears I made for Gummo. I have all kinds of weird articles from different characters I’ve played, photoshoots, events. My Oscar dress. It’s embarrassing. I better have a daughter soon or I don’t know what’s gonna happen.”
