Wendy Williams
Williams’ family announced on January 18, 2019, that she would be postponing her return to her talk show, The Wendy Williams Show, after an extended absence for the third time due to health issues. “Wendy has experienced complications regarding her Graves’ Disease that will require treatment,” the press release read. “Wendy will be under the strict supervision of her physicians, and as part of her care, there will be significant time spent in the hospital.” The TV personality, who is also dealing with a fractured shoulder, was diagnosed with the disease, an immune system disorder of a gland in the throat, as well as hyperthyroidism, nearly 20 years ago.

Lou Ferrigno
The Incredible Hulk star was hospitalized Opens a New Window. in December 2018 after what he claimed was a pneumonia vaccine gone wrong. “Went in for a pneumonia shot and landed up here with fluid in my bicep,” he wrote on Instagram on December 14. “I’ll be ok but it’s important that you keep an eye on who’s giving the shot and make sure they not only swab the spot correctly but that you watch the needle come out of the package.” Hours later, Ferrigno had recovered, posting a selfie with Dolph Lundgren on Instagram for Smash Global VIII: Night of Champions at the Taglyan Complex in Los Angeles. “Happy I made it out of the hospital in time,” he wrote.

Matthew Perry
The Friends alum revealed in September 2018 that he was on the mend following a surgery in August to repair a hole in his gastrointestinal tract. “Three months in a hospital bed. Check,” he tweeted. A rep for Perry told Us at the time, “He is grateful for the concern and asks for continued privacy as he heals.”

Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici’s Son Isaiah
The Bachelor season 17 lead announced the couple’s 5-month-old son was in the pediatric ICU in November 2018. He captioned a photo of Isaiah hooked up to an oxygen machine, “Isaiah’s got bronchiolitis and his little body is having a tough time getting enough oxygen.” However, more than a week later, Lowe told Us Weekly, “Isaiah is back home with his family and he is doing great,” noting that his son “fully recovered and breathing much better.”

Joe Perry
The Aerosmith guitarist was hospitalized in November 2018 after reportedly collapsing in his dressing room following a performance with Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden in New York. “He had just walked off stage after performing with Billy Joel and immediately complained of shortness of breath,” Perry’s manager, Paul Geary, told Us Weekly. “The in-house EMTs connected an oxygen tank and decided to take him to the hospital.
