Even though breastfeeding is one of the most natural things in the world – there is no shortage of people who think it shouldn’t be done in public.
Melanie Dudley, 34, was on holiday with her family when her four-month-old needed a feed.
So she went ahead and started breastfeeding at the table, but one of the other guests took issue with what she was going.
He asked her to cover up – and her response was absolutely brilliant.
One of the group took a photo and shared it on social media with the caption: "A friend’s daughter-in-law was told to ‘cover up’ while feeding her baby, so she did! I’ve never met her, but I think she’s AWESOME!!!"
Instead of covering up her four-month-old, she threw a baby blanket over her head instead.
Well, it is technically covering up…
A post was shared by thousands of people on Facebook and has since gone viral.
Melanie, from Austin, Texas told Yahoo Lifestyle that her decision was spontaneous.
"I was on vacation in Cabo San Lucas with my entire family and a man asked me to cover myself," she said.
