Ava Phillippe honors mom Reese Witherspoon on Instagram: ‘She inspires me’

For no particular reason other than to love and support her mom, Ava Phillippe celebrated Reese Witherspoon on Instagram with a sweet message on Wednesday.

“This is the gorgeous woman who taught me about the power of graciousness, love, ambition, and hard work,” the 19-year-old wrote, accompanied by a photo of her 43-year-old actress mom putting on her earrings. “She inspires me every day to live with gratitude for the life I’ve been given and compassion for others. I’m thinking about her a little extra today, that’s all.”

Phillippe’s Instagram is full of tributes to Witherspoon, with another recent photo showing the mother-daughter pair at the Season 2 premiere of the Witherspoon-starring “Big Little Lies.”

“Big Little Date Night Congrats to every member of #BLL2 crew!” Phillippe wrote. “So especially proud of my mama and her passion for this story and her work. After seeing just the first episode, I honestly cannot wait to see more!”

In March, Phillippe celebrated Witherspoon’s birthday with another glowing note to her mom, calling her “such a generous, conscientious, and passionately kind person.”

“I am so blessed to bear witness to your light and love each and every day! love you,” she wrote.

Phillippe’s Instagram recently made news when a post of her and her boyfriend Owen Mahoney drew comparisons from commenters claiming he looks like her father, Ryan Phillippe.

“He looks so much like your dad omg,” @wutangclannnnn88 wrote, while @joshuaramiandrisoa added, “Is it just me or does her new beau have a little bit of Ryan in him?”

One naysayer who commented that “he does not look like your dad” got a reply from Phillippe: “big thx,”
