Amy Schumer Jokes About Pregnancy — But Reveals It's Been 'Really Tough' So Far

Amy Schumer’s pregnancy was the butt of the joke at her own comedy show in Las Vegas on Friday night.

“Not to sound corny, but I never thought about having kids,” she said. “I wanted to wait for the right manny.”

While performing her first comedy show since announcing her pregnancy last month, Schumer, 37, discussed being in her second trimester. “I don’t like it,” she said, later adding, “I’ve had a really tough pregnancy so far.”

What else was tough? Well, she was disappointed that there were basically no pregnancy rumors about her before the actual announcement.

“There’s Amy,” she said, mimicking people. “Is she showing? No more than usual.”

As she’s done on social media, Schumer also trolled Meghan Markle during her show at Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

“You know who it’s not fun to be pregnant at the same time as? Meghan Markle!” she said. “She’s walking around in heels and cradling her baby that’s not even there, and I’m barely wearing underwear.”

Joking that she has “a half a year” left of pregnancy, she said everyone is a “psychic” when it comes to the gender of her baby.

“It’s a 50/50 shot. It’s better odds than in Vegas,” she said. “I don’t know what it’s going to be. I think it’s going to be a baby.”

In a jab at President Donald Trump, Schumer said she hopes her baby will be a girl because, as Trump recently said, it’s a “scary time” for men in the U.S.

“I’ll never write anything as funny as that,” she said. “If I’m going to have a son, I’m gonna raise him to be something amazing, like a Supreme Court justice. I’m gonna teach him to rape like no one is watching.”

Schumer also touched on her arrest in Washington D.C. for protesting Brett Kavanaugh’s controversial nomination (and eventual confirmation) to the Supreme Court, saying that her pregnancy “was all the more reason I wanted to go.”

“The whole time we knew we were gonna get arrested,” she said. “Really, I was worried about being really hungry. This was a very white privilege arrest. I knew we were moments from getting arrested, so I was just ramming snacks into my mouth.”
