He speaks to Tori (Penny McNamee), saying that he fears he will lose Simone for good once she knows the truth. While Tori is sympathetic, she tells him that his secret is too big to keep from her. Brody hates the idea of Simone seeing him as an addict, but Tori says that if they love each other the way he says they do, Simone will accept him regardless.
Brody makes the difficult decision to tell Simone everything, and she is shaken. She asks for space to process the news. Tori finds her, deep in thought, and tells her that she doesn’t believe Brody will ever go down such a dark path again. However, Simone is struggling with the fact that he hid the truth from her.
Simone tells Brody that they need to take a step back in their relationship – it’s been such a whirlwind that they haven’t had the chance to get to know one another properly. She says it isn’t a breakup, but she does want to put their plans to move together on hold for now…
