Just as her HSC trials started to kick off, Raffy (Olivia Deeble) received the devastating news that her CBD oil medical trial has been cancelled due to lack of funding. Without the only medication that was helping with her epilepsy, Raffy struggles to get through her exams, barely completing the papers and struggling to concentrate.

Trying to talk her around, Maggie says they just don’t have a proper plan yet, but Raffy says they never will. Plus, even if she does pass her exams, she’ll never get the marks for the courses she wants to do. Marilyn says she could do something else, but Raffy says it’s not that simple. Getting worked up, she says it’s fine for Marilyn, as she’s happy working at the Diner. But she wants to do something more, like become a doctor, a vet or an engineer. Realising she’s just insulted Marilyn’s life choices, she freezes, apologises and runs off…
