Dr. Pimple Popper just posted some blackhead pops in one of her most interesting spots yet: right inside a woman’s ear.
In the new Instagram video, shared Monday, dermatologist Sandra Lee, MD, uses her handy extractor tool to tackle three large pores clearly filled with gunk, right at the base of a woman’s ear canal.
“Can you hear me now? These blackheads were a special kind of ear plugs!” Dr. Pimple Popper wrote in the caption.
The first two pop fairly easily, looking like corks slowly coming out of bottles. Eventually, Dr. Pimple Popper realizes that pressure won’t be enough to get the rest of the gunk out, so she pokes the final blackhead with a lancet before using her extractor to push out the yellow goo.

At one point, Dr. Pimple Popper shows the patient the gunk on her extractor. “That’s just the start of it, not even the whole thing,” she says—and indeed, she’s able to push more out.
Apparently, the patient wasn’t really aware of the blackheads. “You can’t see them,” she says. Dr. Pimple Popper responds, “I wonder if your finger nail could push it out now that you know they’re there,” which, to be fair, still seems like it would be pretty hard angle for the woman to reach. Tbh, the whole video makes me want to go check my ears for blackheads, STAT.
Dr. Pimple Popper is able to get most of the gunk out, but from the looks of it, there are a lot more pores in there that need extracting too. Who knew ears could hold way more gunk than ear wax?!
