Jenna Jameson doesn’t keep a ton of secrets from her fans. She often speaks about her keto weight loss journey, and she gets real about things like sagging skin and Photoshop. Jenna’s not holding back her in vitro fertilization (IVF) story, either.
In a new Instagram post, Jenna spoke about using IVF to conceive her daughter, Batel. “Yes, I’m an IVF warrior,” she captioned several photos of herself, including one of her during pregnancy. “Our sweet Batelli was conceived through modern medicine.”

Yes, I’m an IVF warrior. Our sweet Batelli was conceived through modern medicine. Truth be told, IVF is one of the hardest things I’ve endured. So much emotion, stress, fear, pressure, pain and anxiety. The hormones wreak havoc on your body for months prior to transfer and the fear of the unknown is encompassing. I was 43 when we began our IVF for Batel. I felt I had little time. I felt it may be my last chance. I knew what I was getting into since I had a successful twin IVF pregnancy. But I was MUCH younger then. Well, after everything we ended up with one very special PGD tested, perfect embryo… my little Batelli. She was worth every shot, every cry and every push. I felt compelled to talk about my age, IVF and how you can do this too. Never lose hope. Always trust in G-d. He has beautiful plans for you. #ivfjourney #ivf #ivfsuccess #ivfwarrior #ivfcommunity #ivfpregnancy

Going into IVF, Jenna was nervous about her age (she was 43 when she started the process). “I felt I had little time. I felt it may be my last chance,” she said. While this wasn’t her first attempt at IVF (she also had twin boys via IVF with her former boyfriend Tito Ortiz), Jenna said she was “MUCH younger then.”
See how Jenna lost 80 pounds on the keto diet:
After going through the process again in her 40s, Jenna said she and husband Lior Bitton ended up with “one very special PGD tested, perfect embryo… my little Batelli.” (Just FYI: “PGD testing” stands for preimplantation genetic diagnosis, which is a procedure used before an embryo is implanted to help see if an embryo is genetically healthy, according to the American Pregnancy Association.)
Pregnancy was an intense experience for Jenna, too. Lior previously said on Instagram that she struggled with bleeding and morning sickness.
