McDonald’s fans will be going wild when they hear about the chain’s latest menu update. The restaurant has announced that the much-loved triple cheeseburger will be available from next week. The addition follows a successful trial back in February, which was only on offer in a small number of stores.
The triple cheeseburger includes three 100 percent British and Irish beef patties complete with onions, pickles, mustard and cheese, all served in a delicious soft toasted bun.
It was originally only available to lucky Yorkshire locals for a trial at 60 restaurants earlier this year – but the results proved it was a welcome addition to the menu.
One fan simply called it a “game changer” when it was first launched.
Another said: “I am ordering three, in advance, sorry to the guy on the grill.”
Others called it the “Best burger ever” – which is why the chain has brought it back for good.
The huge burger is going to be available from next week as it is added to the Saver Menu.
Priced from only £2.19, the triple whammy burger will be available to order from all stores from Wednesday September 2.
The return of the beloved burger is not the only change that the chain has made in recent months.

After initially closing due to the coronavirus pandemic, McDonald’s slowly began to reopen around the UK.
It started by opening its drive-thrus in a bid to get business back on track amid the new social distancing measures.
However, shops are now open around the country with new social distancing measures in place for customers and staff.
There is now hand sanitiser at every entrance for both delivery couriers and dine-in or takeaway customers.
Table service is also now on offer, as well as contact tracing for anyone who does decide to dine in.
Cheeseburger fans may also have to queue if they want to rush out to get the new dish, as numbers are still being carefully monitored to avoid crowding in stores.
The triple cheeseburger is the latest in a line of menu additions that McDonald’s has announced in recent weeks.
After starting out with a reduced menu following the lockdown, the chain has been gradually introducing new and old favourites.
It recently brought back the Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese, containing two burgers and two lots of cheese along with the usual toppings.
McDonald’s announced the news on Twitter, posting: “It’s here to stay! You can now enjoy the Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese all year round!”
The popular lunchtime staples, Crispy Sweet Chilli Chicken and Crispy BBQ & Bacon Wraps, both returned in July as it brought back more options.
The chain has also been offering a Big Mac for just £1.69 and Happy Meals for £1.49 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays in august.
It’s part of the government’s Eat Out To Help Out scheme, which comes to an end on Monday.
Happy Meals also now come with a choice of book or toy as the chain seeks to cut back on plastic waste.
