Calorie burning or weight loss doesn’t have to involve dieting or hitting the gym.
In fact, people can burn up to 500 calories in their sleep as the body continues to work when we’re dozing off.
And if you want to slash even more calories, all it takes is making a few changes to your lifestyle.
According to Luke Worthington, a qualified sports scientists, you could lose weight in a few simple ways, like getting a dog.
“A walking meeting is an excellent way of adding a bit more low intensity exercise”

Schedule more walking meetings with your peers
As most people will work 8-9 hours a day, it can be hard getting exercise into your daily routine.
But if you’re scheduling a meeting with your colleagues, why not use your legs?
Worthington explained to Women’s Health UK: “A walking meeting is an excellent way of adding a bit more low intensity exercise to your day, getting fresh air and sunlight and has also been shown to increase creativity and problem solving.”
And walking is massively beneficial for your overall health and can encourage weight loss.
Walk and talk
Now the weather’s starting to heat up, why not grab your mates and go for a stroll.
Worthington suggests heading to the park or beach for a walk and catch up with mates.
He continued: “During the week a walk at lunchtime with your colleagues will get you up and away from your desk and out into the fresh air.”
