Summer might still be in full swing, but Greggs is preparing for the autumn season with the launch of its Pumpkin Spice Latte. The bakery chain has described the hot drink as a “delicious autumnal beverage”.
The Pumpkin Spice Lattes went on sale at Greggs stores across the country on Thursday, August 25, 2021, a step ahead of other rival coffee chains.
Like all of the coffee on Greggs’ menu, it is made from 100 percent Fairtrade ground beans.
The Greggs Pumpkin Spice Latte is a relatively purse-friendly option, costing £1.95.
The hot beverage is made using coffee beans said to be sourced from Peru, Colombia and Tanzania.
It contains a double shot of Espresso, steamed milk and “sweet pumpkin spice flavour” syrup.
On its menu, Greggs states: “The sweet smell of pumpkin spice, together with the warmth of freshly ground coffee and frothy steamed milk, finished off with a whipping of cream and a sprinkle of spiced sugar – our Pumpkin Spice Latte really is Autumn in a cup.”
Greggs coffee is already a popular menu item, with the chain claiming to sell 1.5 million cups every week.
Hannah Squirrell, customer director at Greggs, said: “The return of the fan-favourite Pumpkin Spice Latte to our menu will no doubt delight our customers nationwide.

Beverages aren’t only available in-store, but can also be purchased via the click and collect service on its website and app.
Greggs also offers delivery in some parts of the country.
Customers can simply order their food or beverage items through Just Eat and have them brought straight to their home or office.
Nutritionally, the Pumpkin Spice Latte is relatively high in sugar.
According to Greggs’ menu, the drink contains 28 grams of sugar.
It also contains 228 calories and 8.3 grams of fat.
Those who aren’t so keen on super sweet drinks can choose from seven other coffee beverages available from Greggs.
The bakery also sells Americanos, white coffee, flat whites, cappuccinos, lattes, caramel lattes, vanilla lattes and mocha.
Along with coffee, Greggs also sells a range of tea and hot chocolate.
