Women reveal the five biggest turn-offs during sex, including poor hygiene and lack of foreplay

GETTING into bed with someone can be an exciting and nervous experience – but it doesn’t always go to plan.

You may have been looking forward to a night of passion with your partner, only to find them slobbed out in front of the sofa when you get home.

If your sex life has taken a dip recently, women have revealed their top-five turn offs in the bedroom – so start taking notes.

The Daily Star asked 3,000 Brits what habits put them off having a romp, and poor hygiene came out on top.

If you want to get inbetween the sheets, get in the shower first as 35 per cent of women said a smelly bloke instantly killed the mood.

In second place is a lack of foreplay, with nearly a quarter of women admitting this made them lose their libido.

The five biggest turn-offs during sex

1. Poor hygiene – 35%

2. Lack of foreplay – 24%

3. Bad breath – 23%

4. Partner looking at phone – 10%

5. Untrimmed pubic hair – 8%

And another hygiene-related issue, bad breath was a big non-no if you're trying to get lucky.

But you can always brush your teeth while in the shower if you’re pressed for time.

Next on the list is something that irritates most people, particularly if they’re on a date, and it’s looking at your phone.

It seems you need a good reason to whip out your smartphone, but we’re definitely advising against taking any phone calls while in the sack.

Last on the list was being a bit fuzzy down below.

Despite most people worrying about their landscaping skills, turns out untrimmed pubes only put off eight per cent of people.

After you’ve showered, brushed your teeth and put your phone away, one more trick to get things going is by sleeping naked.

If your schedules are jam-packed and you’re literally scheduling in a quickie, here’s some tips to make the most out of your mini-sesh.

And it turns out sleeping together on the first date can help ‘kick-start’ your relationship.
