The £36 burgundy crocodile-effect Topshop boots you NEED in your wardrobe this autumn

Here's her guide to this week's fashion, including the must-have shoes this season.

My Fashion Life

While our fashion desk is entering panic mode over the Christmas workload we have on our hands – I quickly escaped to check out a few press days.

Keeping up-to-date with what’s to come in store is important, as while we are all about to get full-on festive January will quickly creep up on us and with it a whole host of new clobber.

I got a sneak-peak of Tu at Sainsbury’s new drop hitting stores in February.

And there were plenty of rainbow hues to brighten up the winter weather, along with simple knits and statement puffa coats.

I also got to check out Charles & Keith, a new accessories label to add to your radar with purse-friendly price-tags.

In My Basket

The high street is now sashaying its way into party mode.

And while I can’t wait to slip into sequins at any given chance, it’s not on my shopping agenda just yet.

Instead my on-going search to find a new pair of booties is taking over my lunch-breaks and morning commute.

As a committed trainer fan, it will be tough.

But seen as they don’t add much height to my 5’4 frame, a boot with a slight heel is the perfect step-up to take me from desk to dance-floor.

So I am giving my sole-nourishing trainers the boot for something a little smarter that will keep me covered around the clock.

Styles that cut of at the ankle will allow me to wear them with jeans and dresses, while a classic colour is easy to wear with anything.

Though I have got my eye on a snake-print pair which will add bite to any outfit. . .

Not that hard right?

Here’s what I’m stuck deciding on.

  • Animal print high heel ankle boots, Zara, £39.99 – buy now

  • Black western boots, Reserved, £49.99 – buy now

  • Afflict Cylindrical Heel Boots Tan Leather Tortoiseshell Heel, Office, £96 – buy now

  • White leather tortoise shell block heel boots, River Island, £65 – buy now

  • BROOKLYN Crocodile Effect Boot, Topshop, £36 – buy now

A Festive treat

With an upcoming calendar of boozing and eating most evenings of the week, slipping into lingerie is not high on my to-do list.

But I got to have a chat with former EastEnders star and mum-of-two Jacqueline Jossa, and she assured me that it will make you feel good about yourself.

Jacqueline, 26, is starring alongside ex-TOWIE star Sam Faiers, 27, Made in Chelsea’s Louise Thompson, 28 and model Emily Shak, 29 in Boux Avenue’s fairy-tale campaign.

  • Animal jacquard top, Boux Avenue, £24 – buy now
  • Animal jacquard joggers, £26 – buy now

Portrayed as the Queen, the family-orientated character in the campaign, said: “Whether it’s to be seen or not, wearing matching, cute lingerie under your clothes just sets the day different – it makes you feel confident and sexy.

“It’s easy to look in the mirror and pick bad points about yourself but changing that mindset and feeling positive about yourself regardless will make you ooze sex appeal.

“I’ve only just found out I’m not the bra size I thought I was since having kids, it’s hard to have time for yourself – but since being fitted they are much more comfortable.”

  • Catia balconette bra, Boux Avenue, £34 – buy now
  • Catia thong, Boux Avenue, £14 – buy now

Reality TV star, Louise said: “If you over-indulge at Christmas, wearing a slip which covers a bit more flesh is perfect – you can even wear it on a night out with chunky boots and a big jacket.

“But just don’t let your partner wash your undies as mine always end up grey.

“And a word of advice for blokes shopping for their partner – make sure you ask a member of staff for advice as they will be able to advise what we might like, which is probably completely different to what you think.”

The collection includes something for everyone with great stocking fillers – including pyjamas, loungewear and robes.
