Mum transforms her dingy kitchen by spending just £60 on paint and a stick-on worktop

HOME makeovers don't have to be expensive.

In fact, one mum totally transformed her dated kitchen for just £60.

Kaylee Thomas, from Wales, took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains page on Facebook to share her impressive before-and-after photos.

And while it looks like a totally different kitchen, she only made three purchases to achieve the look – grey paint for the oak cupboards, silver for the handles and sticky plastic sheets known as Fablon.

All from B&Q, the lot set her back by only £60.

"Thanks to the people who posted about the Fablon and painting cupboards," she wrote.

"Just done my kitchen for around £60. Floor next.

"Everything is from B&Q – white wood effect fablon, Sandtex exterior paint in cloudy day.

"Painters touch in silver for the handles."

And the results were certainly impressive, with the kitchen cupboards given a new lease of life while the dated marble worktops looked brand new.

Other bargain hunters were impressed, with one commenting: "That looks 1 million per cent better. Loads brighter and fresher!"

While another said it looked "awesome".
