And now, the very man who helped design her late mother-in-law's wedding dress has revealed what he really thinks about her wardrobe.
David Emanuel, who designed Princess Diana's gown along with his former wife Elizabeth, revealed The Duchess of Sussex is certainly "making her mark" on the fashion world.
However, he told Sky News that the duchess will have to "modernise" in order to keep up with the standards of the royal wardrobe.
"She will have to slightly modernise to fit in with the royal wardrobe," David explained.
"We’ve got press reports that she’s got to wear tights, she’s got to wear this and that…She is making her mark and I think she’s doing brilliantly."
The 65-year-old designer was quick to gush about Meghan's style, revealing he's a big fan of her "elegant" look.
"She is refreshingly modern. If you saw the series Suits, when she was an actress it was very classy, very chic, very understated," he recalled.
"Very shapely skirts and very clean, and that’s her look. She is not frills and flowers and she’s not lace and sequins.
"Very simple, very elegant and long may it reign."
And while Meghan's fashion influence has reached a colossal level (practically everything she wears flies off the shelves within hours) it was her sister-in-law Kate Middleton who took the crown as best royal style influencer this week, according to eBay's annual UK Retail Report.
It's believed it was Kate's maternity style – which resulted in more eBay searches than any other royal – caused the Duchess of Cambridge to pip Megs to the post.
Earlier this week, we told you supermarkets including Tesco and Asda launch dupes of Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle’s designer outfits… and they cost from £18.
We also revealed why Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton must ALWAYS have their chins ‘parallel to the ground’, according to an etiquette expert.
And we showed you how the Queen ALWAYS matches the colour of her brolly to her outfit.
