Kaia Gerber’s Jimmy Choos, Rihanna’s pop-up and other spring essentials

Brandon Maxwell’s flask bag is the ultimate fashion week accessory

Fashion week sometimes feels like one big party. So why not dress the part? Cue Brandon Maxwell‘s plexi flask purse. Discreetly designed with a sleek combination lock, its glossy packaging strikes the perfect balance between kitsch and chic. Wear this conversation piece as a crossbody or — dare we suggest — a necklace. Bottoms up.

Lafayette 148 opens in Americana Manhasset

Warm your winter blues at Lafayette 148 New York’s luxurious new Americana Manhasset store on Long Island. The light-filled boutique’s natural textures (including wood, onyx and Italian leather) set the stage for its minimalist ready-to-wear pieces, shoes, jewelry and accessories. Personal stylists are on hand (additional petite and plus sizes are available by special order), while private fittings and alterations are complimentary. A perfect fit.

Rihanna’s Fenty pop-up at Bergdorf’s

We found love inside Bergdorf Goodman. Get your Rihanna fix (instead of stalking her feed for the release of her much-anticipated “R9” album) by shopping at her curated Fenty pop-up inside the luxury department store this month. The glam shop-in-shop houses RiRi’s gorgeous 2-20 collection. The songstress-turned-LVMH designer, meanwhile, has also been given the creative reins of the Fifth Avenue window display, along with a guest-editor role on BG.com this week. Take a bow, Ri.

Giorgio Armani revisits a ’90s icon

Giorgio Armani is also embracing ’90s nostalgia with a new line of La Prima bags, which take inspiration from the iconic designer’s 1995 debut bag. Six styles (including the original silhouette, totes and clutches) are available in both “vegetable calf” and Italian calfskin in an array of hues, as well as silk satin, patent crocodile and lizard — for nights on the town. Even better? An adjustable, double-slide handle on some of the pieces allows for crossbody or shoulder wearability. How handy.

Kaia Gerber collabs with Jimmy Choo

Start your year on the right foot in Kaia Gerber’s Jimmy Choos. The 18-year-old catwalk star has collaborated with Sandra Choi (the British brand’s creative director) on a chic shoe capsule, including block-heel slingbacks and slides in embossed snake as well as western and combat boot styles. The ’90s-grunge-meets-Cali-cool soles
(perhaps a nod to Kaia’s model mama Cindy Crawford?) also have heart, with 15 percent of sales donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
