How to get a Quality Street Christmas advent calendar for free

Fans of a classic chocolate advent calendar will be pleased to know the most festive of confectionery brands – Quality Street – is finally launching a version of their own.

During December fans will be able to countdown to Christmas by chomping their way through a mystery selection of the iconic sweets.

The new calendars are on sale at major supermarket, high street and online stores, including Tesco , Wilko and Amazon – retailing for £5.

But thrifty shoppers can nab one for free thanks to TopCashback.co.uk who are offering new members £5 to cover the cost of any chocolate advent calendar – including the Quality Street one.

How to claim?

Spend up to £5 on an advent calendar and get the amount back in cashback (up to maximum of £5) to cover the cost – technically making your purchase free.

Sign back into your TopCashback account and submit your receipt. This can be done by navigating to Offers > Snap & Save. Alternatively, you can submit your receipt via the app (further details on how to download the mobile app can be read here)

Snap a picture of the receipt, showing the date and time of purchase and the item that is eligible for cashback. You can fold your receipt to show all of the required information

Once receipts have been submitted, cashback will track in member’s accounts within seven working days and will become ‘payable’ within 30 days.

How do cashback sites work?

• Instead of shopping directly through a store online, you access the retailer through a cashback website who will then get paid (by the brand) for ‘referring’ you to them.

• Your transaction will continue as normal and your item will still arrive directly from the retailer, but the cashback website will pay you a cut of this payment as a reward for using its services, and as an incentive to encourage you to return.

• This amount can be anything from 1% to £100 of your total spend – and you can use voucher codes to boost your saving that little bit further.

• Your cashback will be sent back to you through your cashback account around 7-10 working days later.

• However, with more complex services like travel and financial products, this period can be extended to six months.

You must be a new member to TopCashback.co.uk to claim and receipts need to be submitted by midnight Sunday 2 December to be eligible.

Shoppers who spend less than £5 will only receive the total amount spent in cashback back, for example is you spend £2 you’ll receive £2 cashback. If the transaction is more than £5, new members will only receive a maximum bonus of £5 cashback. (The offer is limited to 1,500 redemptions on a first come first served basis).

The John Lewis’ festive experience allows shoppers to fill up specially designed Christmas tins with at least three different sweets from the famous line up of 12 Nestle classics.
