New York Fashion Week showcases the upcoming trends—colors, prints, accessories and more—on runways filled with top models like Gigi Hadid, Joan Smalls and Kaia Gerber. This September, the New York Fashion Week schedule will run from Friday, Sept. 6 through Wednesday, Sept. 11 and officially feature 67 designers.
Fashionistas may notice that the schedule is only six days long, which is four days and 10 shows shorter than February’s Fall/Winter 2019 preview. The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) made the change due to participants claiming that previous schedules were too long and overly crowded.

This fall, the shows will kick off with surely some of the week’s most forward-thinking designers, starting with TELFAR, a New York City-based unisex line, followed by Tomo Koizumi, a newcomer discovered on Instagram by Marc Jacobs, and finally, the celebrity-favorite and colorful Jeremy Scott. The week will come to a close with NYFW veterans Michael Kors, Badgley Mischka and Marc Jacobs.
“I am excited for the strong September lineup which will continue to showcase and celebrate the creativity and diversity of American fashion,” Steven Kolb, president and chief executive officer of the CFDA, told WWD.

Zimmermann
Models at Zimmermann wore a thick black cat eye eyeliner look. Their lids were dusted with a light shimmer.
Christian Siriano
The hair at Siriano’s show was a stand out. Designed by TRESemmé Global Stylist Justine Marjan, "The chains [provided] a lot of movement, so keeping it controlled [was] key!"
The look was created by first flat-ironing the hair. Then, they created a single cornrow under the front pieces of hair at the headband line to attach the chains. The hair and chains were then pulled back into a low pony tail. The elastic holding it together was covered with another silver chain piece.

Christian Siriano
Makeup at Siriano’s show complemented the futuristic theme (and silver chains in the hair) with scattered "crystal freckles" and silver metallic shadow highlighting the tear ducts.
alice + olivia
Models at Alice + Olivia wore their hair tightly pulled back with a dark red lip. Their nails were the highlight, though!
Models wore the imPRESS Press-on Manicure alice + olivia in Stace Face. (Stacey Bendet is the CEO and Creative Director of Alice + Olivia.) The fashion brand has collaborated with KISS to create several press on nail options.
Other models wore the "Casting Call" imPRESS Press-on Manicure with added 3D crylic butterflies as an accent. Larger butterflies were decorated with Real Crystals by KISS.
Kate Spade
At Kate Spade, some models wore their hair straight and curled a bit under. Others with natural waves and curls wore tight curls (made using a large curling iron) that were brushed through for a natural look. Also on their heads, some models wore silk hair wrap caps.

On their faces, models wore a copper-toned eyeshadow and muted red lips.
Prabal Gurung
Models at Prabal Gurung wore smudged copper eyeshadow with light pink lips, accessorized by statement earrings. Their hair was loosely blow dried and pulled back on top.
On their nails they wore a red called Vanessa by Zoya that was brushed diagonally on the nail, leave the top section closest to the cuticle bare.

Carolina Herrera
Most of the models at Carolina Herrera wore a no makeup-makeup look, except for a handful that had deep pigmented eyeshadow brushed across the lids like it was put on with a highlighter marker.
On their nails, they wore a light pink called Rue by Zoya.

Naeem Khan
The show was ’70s-inspired, so it was only appropriate that the hair was big and voluminous. To get the look, the hair was curled with a 1 ¼ inch ghd Curve Soft Curl Iron, then back brushed for added root lift. To keep the volume going, the hair was set with Velcro rollers for 15-20 minutes while it cooled.
“Make sure to start this look with a volume-enhancing shampoo & conditioner like the TRESemmé Thick & Full Shampoo and Conditioner so every step after that is building more and more volume to the foundation of the look," Justine Marjan, a TRESemmé Global Stylist, said.
Tom Ford
Models at Tom Ford, like Gigi Hadid, wore their hair cleanly pulled back into low buns. On their faces they wore metallic copper eyeshadow up to their eyebrows and a fully lined eye, tear duct included.
Jonathan Simkhai
At Jonathan Simkhai, models wore relaxed low ponytails with a no makeup-makeup look, accented by smudgy red lips.
Oscar de la Renta
At Oscar de la Renta, hair styles ranged from big brushed out curls to ponytails with a soft wave.
“Maintain the drama of the look by using plenty of the TRESemmé Compressed Micro Mist Level 4: Extend Hair Spray to keep curls firmly in place," Odile Gilbert, TRESemmé NYFW Stylist, said.
On their face, models wore a slight dusting of copper MAC eyeshadow and a smudged red lip.
As for nails, models wore Zoya Spencer, a beige-nude on the toes. On the hands, they wore red Zoya Alyssa to match the lip.
Nicole Miller
Models’ nails at Nicole Miller were painted in a muted shade of green and decorated with an "evil eye" accent.
“Evil Eyes are one of Nicole’s iconic symbols she has used year after year. This look is inspired by the New York girl who is trying to find balance in New York City life – keeping a talisman of good luck on her nails and checking her horoscope every morning to navigate her busy New York life," Naomi Gonzalez, Lead Manicurist for ZOYA said.
