She’s been hitting the red carpet night after night for premieres of Beauty and the Beast and Emma Watson’s tour wardrobe couldn’t be more on point. From Elie Saab haute couture to Louis Vuitton dresses, the actress proves eco-friendly, sustainable designs can be incredibly chic.

But what was the feminist beauty wearing at her first red carpet event ever? A floor-length, short-sleeved grey dress, purple boots, and a feather boa, of course.
Emma was 11 years old at the premiere for Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and while a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Ellen brought up the ghost of fashion’s past.

“Oh wow, this was special,” Emma said looking at the above photo. “This was my first ever movie premiere, and my mum and I planned this for weeks. It doesn’t look like it but there was a lot of thought going into this. I thought I looked amazing by the way. Bless me.”

Bless her indeed.
