Will Smith has admitted he struggled to bond with eldest son Trey.
The Men In Black actor, whose first wife is Trey’s mum Sheree Zampino, got candid in a post he shared on Instagram on Tuesday.
Will wrote alongside a picture of dad and son having fun: "It has not always been like this between Trey & I. We STRUGGLED FOR YEARS after my Divorce from his Mother.
"He felt betrayed & abandoned. It is a Wild Blessing to recover & restore a Loving Relationship with My Beautiful Son!"
Just a day before, Trey shared the same picture of Will and praised his dad as the pair posed at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
"Kicking off Monday with My GUY in LIFE @willsmith," Trey penned.
And the day before, a nostaligic Trey posted a picture of his mum, stepmum Jada Pinkett Smith and also step siblings Willow and Jaden.
He admitted: "Change isn’t always easy…Especially when it’s not on your terms. But change is necessary for growth.
"Even if I didn’t know it then. I’ve always been surrounded by love.
"But there’s hidden context in this photo. When I look at it, everything falls into place…"
