LVMH menswear artistic director and — as one of his guests described him — current “cultural MVP” Virgil Abloh threw a party for a painfully glamorous group Wednesday night.
Abloh said the fancy fête at the New Museum — a launch party for a pair of Champagne bottles he designed for Moët & Chandon — reunited pals from his downtown days.
“This room has a great subsection of New York City that I love . . . the background and the community that make my work exciting,” he said.
Pals included DJ Venus X, artists Daniel Arsham and Lucien Smith, founder of the now-defunct Hood by Air Shayne Oliver, Emily Ratajkowski, Chloë Sevigny, Anthony Ramos, Winnie Harlow, Elsa Hosk and People’s Dan Wakeford.
