Most “Real Housewives” have gotten used to a little trash talk on set, but Vicki Gunvalson of “Real Housewives of Orange County” isn’t going to take it anymore.
The veteran cast member, 57, has filed a lawsuit against co-star Kelly Dodd, 44, over three statements she made on camera, believing they may have an effect on her personal and business relationships if aired, TMZ reports.
The statements in question include “you prey on older people,” “you are a con woman” and “you engaged in fraud.”
Gunvalson claims she explained to Bravo producers that all three of these statements are false and could have negative effects on her livelihood.
Under the pseudonym “Jane Roe,” Vicki also pointed out that she’s never been sued in 31 years of business and has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.
It’s unclear if Bravo has plans to air the scene during the 14th season. However, they included the “con woman” line in the show’s new trailer. Vicki is hoping to deter them, initially naming the network and show producers in the lawsuit as well. She’s since dropped her claims against them while continuing to pursue legal action against Dodd.
Vicki is suing to get the original edit of the show blocked from airing and for damages.
