Ulrika Jonsson has branded Lauren Goodger ‘sad’ and pitiful’ after it was revealed the the reality star had edited her face and hair in a snap taken when she was aged five.
Former TOWIE star Lauren, 33, was slammed for the Photoshopped shot of herself as a bridesmaid, which showed her posing with her dad, earlier this week – after the original snap was unearthed in her 2013 autobiography, Secrets Of An Essex Girl.
And in an article for The Sun, Ulrika, 52, fumed: ‘What a pitiful, sad act. How on earth could someone be so dominated and devoured by vanity that they take the time to alter an image of themselves as a child? Is nothing sacred any more?’

Explaining that she was ‘consumed by anger and exasperation’ over Lauren’s move, Ulrika went on to speak about her own experiences with Instagram, insisting that she’s never given into the temptation to filter out her natural looks.
Returning her attention on Lauren, she wrote: ‘She was clearly determined to create a more alluring version of herself — a self aged ONLY FIVE. How truly desperate and insecure a person must be to want to rework an image of their younger self.’
In sharing her thoughts on the matter, TV personality Ulrika warned of the dangers of ‘young impressionable girls’ who might follow Lauren’s Photoshopping lead.

She concluded: ‘I hope Lauren feels some sadness for changing that innocent young girl into a generic nobody. But perhaps those feelings get filtered, too.’

Lauren sparked an uproar when she edited the throwback snap to alter her hair, face and her dad’s appearance before posting it earlier this week on Instagram.
However, it was clear Lauren had made alterations to the image, after the original photograph was unearthed in her 2013 autobiography, Secrets Of An Essex Girl.

In the snap her dark blonde locks were cut short, but in the edited version she is sporting flowing locks which appeared to have been given blonde highlights.
Both Lauren and her father seem to have been given noticeably smoother visages, while the Essex native appeared to have also added soft touches of make-up.
Earlier this year in April, Lauren admitted she was no stranger to using Photoshop after fans accused Kylie Jenner of using the tool.

Lauren rushed to Kylie’s defence, after the reality star was caught out for a Photoshop fail on a bikini snap.
Lauren took to Instagram to share a screenshot of MailOnline’s story of Kylie deleting her edited photo, after fans noticed she had altered the shape of her lower leg.
Admitting she too uses Photoshop, Lauren captioned the post: ‘Loool don’t we all? Doesn’t mean she’s fat or ugly. It’s Instagram!!’.
Lauren added: ‘She is unreal’.
Kylie was caught out by eagle-eyed fans over a ‘Photoshop fail’ that appeared as if she had altered an image of herself posing in a bikini.

The make-up mogul deleted the image 20 minutes after posting, but it seems internet sleuths had already captured the receipts.
Kylie posted a series of shots with the caption ‘Taco Tuesday’ at her new Holmby Hills mansion, and while some comments asked where the food was, others took note of the strange alterations that had been made to the image.
“Kylie is a master at Facetune and photoshop,” one fan wrote, while another confused user said: “I’m trying to work out what she was even editing.”
It’s been a tough time for Lauren, who was forced to shut her beauty salon Lauren’s Way as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.
