This Year in Royal Fashion! See Kate Middleton's 18 Best Style Moments of 2018

Kate Middleton just capped off another fashionable year, which included some of her signature brightly colored outfits, like this teal long-sleeved dress with a pleated skirt by Emilia Wickstead. The royal mom of three sported the dress for a November outing with Prince William at The BBC.

In November, Kate attended a service honoring the Centenary of the Armistice at Westminster Abbey rocking one of her new go-to accessories – an elaborate headband (this one is black silk velvet!) in place of a fascinator. Kate completed her look with an emerald green coat with velvet details by one of her favorite brands, Catherine Walker.

The royal knows a thing or two about casual summer style as well! Kate chose a light blue, off-the-shoulder dress with white pinstripes from Zara to enjoy the sunny weather with her kids while William played in a polo match this July.

Lovely in lilac! Kate stepped out with Prince William for the inaugural Global Ministerial Mental Health Summit in October. She wore a light purple Emilia Wickstead dress featuring long sleeves, a piece she previously sported during her family’s visit to Germany in July 2017.

For her last pre-maternity leave engagement, Kate nailed casual chic in a cream-colored coat by Goat (shop a similar look for less here!) and printed top by Hobbs, which she paired with black skinny jeans. She carried a black clutch and wore drop pearl earrings.

Snow bunny! Princess Kate showed you can still look cute while bundled up during a visit to Oslo’s Holmenkollen resort. She fought off the freezing temperatures in a colorful ski jackets from Kjus and white beanie from Barts.

The royal mom has never shied away from a festive outfit around the holidays, and this green dress with white polka dots was the perfect selection for her outing to Evelina London, a special clinic that cares for kids with rare and complex conditions, this December.

For her final night in Sweden before she and Prince William headed to Norway for the second leg of their Scandinavian tour, Kate went with a non-maternity dress despite her baby bump. With the ornate, floral-printed velvet dress, she kept her accessories relatively simple. She wore a thin pair of silver earrings and her Gianvito Rossi D’Orsay Suede Sandals.

Kate has always nailed wedding guest wear! She chose a burgundy ensemble by her own wedding dress designer, Alexander McQueen, and a matching velvet beret by go-to milliner Philip Treacy for Princess Eugenie’s fall wedding.

Prince William and Kate Middleton hit the red carpet for the annual BAFTA Awards (the British equivalent of the Oscars) in February. Her dress choice for the evening was a deep green cap-sleeved gown by Jenny Packham. The dress featured a black sash underneath her bust, which accentuated her baby bump. She accessorized with emerald jewelry, suede Prada heels and a black clutch.

Perfect in prints again! While seven months pregnant, Kate debuted the “Victorian Giants: The Birth Of Art Photography” at the National Portrait Gallery in London. Kate, a patron of the gallery, wore a black flower print dress by Orla Kiely and nude suede shoes.

Kate proved once again that she’s the queen of the royal rewear at the 2018 Tusk Conservation Awards in November. She wore a dress that has been in her closet for years: a teal floor-length gown with lace cap sleeves and a belted waist by Jenny Packam that she debuted in 2012.

For Prince Louis’ christening in July, she wore an Alexander McQueen dress with a structured shoulder detail and a dramatic Jane Taylor headpiece fit for a princess.

The mom of three turned heads in a canary yellow dress by Dolce & Gabbana as she made her way to the royal box at Wimbledon this summer. The knee-length number featured flutter sleeves and a flattering pencil skirt.

In her perhaps most festive look of the year, Kate opted for a festive tartan skirt by Emilia Wickstead with a Brora cropped cashmere black cardigan and matching boots while hosting a Christmas party for military families at Kensington Palace.

Tiara time! Kate dazzled as she headed to an annual reception held by Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace for diplomatic representatives and staff. She topped a sequined gown with the Lover’s Knot tiara for the white-tie event and pearl drop earrings.

Kate wore an off-the-shoulder fitted tweed dress by Erdem that featured a deep purple belt, button detailing and a flared skirt for an October visit to the Victoria and Albert Museum. She accessorized with matching Jimmy Choo velvet heels, a clutch and $1,220 crystal and pearl embellished hoop earrings from Erdem.

Kate Middleton didn’t walk to dinner at the royal palace in Oslo in February — she floated. While pregnant with Louis, the royal was impossibly chic in a flowing blush gown from Alexander McQueen. And the bridal look was fitting since McQueen also designed her stunning wedding gown in 2011.
