This Morning sparked an uproar amongst viewers, on Monday.
During the show, hosted by Holly Willoughby and Josie Gibson, fans were left dumbfounded over a segment on how to decorate Halloween tress, with one branding it: ‘complete f**kwittery.’
On 31 October, the eve of All Saints’ Day, people often celebrate by dressing up in frightening masks and costumes to take children trick-or-treating.
With 12 weeks to go until Christmas, it was suggested on This Morning that it could be a good idea to put up a tree now and adorn it with scary decorations, before switching to festive ones come December.
Taking to social media, fans of the ITV Daytime show were outraged by the idea, branding it ‘a waste of money’ especially during the current cost of living crisis.

Trees? During the show, hosted by Holly Willoughby and Josie Gibson, it was suggested that people could put up a tree now and adorn it with scary decorations, 12 weeks before Christmas
Set up: Various trees had been arranged in the TV studio and adorned with Halloween themed ornaments – both shop bought and home made variations
One viewer tweeted: ‘Halloween tree? For gawd sake ! NO. #thismorning,’ with another adding: ‘Halloween trees are too far #thismorning.’
‘What a waste of money and we’re in a cost of living crisis fgs #ThisMorning,’ fumed one fan of the show, with someone else tweeting: ‘Why not chuck a few Easter eggs on the tree as well…… ffs. #ThisMorning.’
Another perplexed viewer asked: ‘Am i just a old grumpy b**tard or is the idea of a halloween tree just complete f**kwittery at its finest #ThisMorning.’
It comes after Josie revealed who her favourite co-host is on This Morning after being at the helm of the show over the summer alongside an ever-changing roster of co-stars
After working with different stars including Rochelle Humes, Alison Hammond, Dermot O’Leary and Steve Jones – Josie has told how Alison is in fact her favourite.
She told The Mirror: ‘Obviously my favourite is Alison Hammond. I love Al – she’s got such a special energy.
‘She is the kindest person on Earth. You could ring Al and after the phone call, you feel a million dollars.
‘You’d never know if she was in a bad mood because she’s too busy trying to make you feel good.’

Josie went on to describe Rochelle as ‘the sweetest human on Earth’ and Dermot as ‘such a great laugh’ and good with her son Reggie, five.
The former Big Brother winner added that Steve is an ‘absolute dream’, whilst praising Vernon Kay and branding Craig Doyle ‘hilarious’.
Josie also touched on her friendship with Holly saying she is ‘sweet and funny’ and added: ‘I have the best job in the world. Holly and I have a great laugh together.’
