Grammy-winning pop star Jess Glynne tried to prank the coaches on Monday’s episode of The Voice Australia by performing a surprise ‘blind audition’.
And while all four judges recognised the 29-year-old English singer when they turned their chairs around, some viewers were left scratching their heads.
Dozens of fans flocked to Facebook to complain about the ‘undercover superstar’ segment, with many saying they had ‘never heard of’ Jess before.

Other viewers echoed similar sentiments, with one writing: ‘I’ve never heard of her before and [I’ve] never heard this song.’
Another agreed, commenting: ‘Never heard of her, nice voice though’.

The coaches – Boy George, Kelly Rowland, Delta Goodrem and Guy Sebastian – apparently had no idea of the prank beforehand.
Kelly looked visibly surprised when Jess began singing the song, seemingly recognising her distinctive voice.
Once the chorus kicked in, all four of the coaches pressed their buttons and spun around simultaneously.

As the song finished, Boy George joked: ‘I have to ask… Hello, what’s your name and where are you from?’
‘I’m Jess,’ the musician responded, which prompted Kelly to say: ‘We know that!’
