The cast for the new season 14 of The Real Housewives of New York City reboot has been revealed! 

Andy Cohen announced the seven new ladies who will be taking over RHONY during the last night of the 2022 BravoCon on Sunday.

The cast includes gay former J.Crew president Jenna Lyons, as well as fashion blogger Sai De Silva, model Ubah Hassan, home renovation and design firm owner Erin Dana Lichy, influencer Lizzy Savetsky, fashion publicist Jessel Taank and brand marketing professional Brynn Whitfield.

Cohen surprised fans with the news during a taping of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen at BravoCon, with the women walking onstage. 

The new cast is certainly more diverse, with Taank being the first Indian Housewife, after Cohen previously stated that he wanted a cast that reflected New York City better.

Production for the show is set to begin this fall, with the new season premiering sometime in 2023.

Diverse cast: Taank, who will be the show’s first Indian Housewife, shared a snap of the new cast to her Instagram 

The network surprised fans when it announced in March that they were re-casting RHONY following season 13. 

The official logline for the show reveals that it will follow ‘an all-new group of seven dynamic women who run in the same social circles, thriving in one of the most diverse and electric cities in the world.’

‘From fashion and real estate, to philanthropy and social influence, these women have made their mark in NYC and will now share their lives as they juggle careers, family life and jam-packed social calendars in the city that never sleeps..’

Fashionable: Meanwhile fashion blogger Sai De Silva shared a clip of her sexy outfit, writing, ‘So happy I can finally spill the beans at BravoCon tonight!’ 

Taank shared a snap of the new cast to her Instagram, writing, ‘The revolution will be televised. It’s an honor to be the FIRST Indian to be cast in this franchise. LFG!!!’

Lyons also re-shared a snap of the cast with Andy to her Instagram Stories, writing, ‘Thank God I wore pants.’ 

Meanwhile De Silva shared a snap of her sexy outfit, writing, ‘So happy I can finally spill the beans at BravoCon tonight!’

Jenna Lyons, 54 – Former J.Crew president who resides in New York with her longtime girlfriend Courtney Crangi

The reboot series should certainly be interesting thanks to its intriguing new cast. 

Lyons knows a thing or two about building a brand, but now she’s ditched corporate life to build her own direct-to-consumer beauty brand, LoveSeen.

Lyons started working as a J. Crew designer right out of school. She worked her way up to president and creative director before leaving the company in 2017 amid poor sales.

She’s become widely recognized as the creative force behind the American retail chain’s phenomenal rise from catalogue chain to one of the most coveted fashion brands in the US.

Her star rose considerably after Michelle, Malia and Sasha Obama wore J. Crew to the Presidential Inauguration in 2009.

Lyons currently resides in New York with her longtime girlfriend Courtney Crangi, 43, and her son Beckett Mazeau. 

Ubah Hasssan, 35 – Somalian model and philanthropist who is the founder of hot sauce company, UBAHHOT

Hassan, 35, is a Somalian model and philanthropist who was spotted by a photographer at a young age and embarked on a modeling career. 

The fashion model had fled to Kenya with her father and brother as a child before moving to Canada where she was spotted by the photographer.

After signing with modeling agency, she went on to work for top designers including Ralph Lauren, Oscar del la Renta and Gucci.  

She is also the founder of UBAHHOT, a hot sauce company which made a splash after being featured on Oprah’s annual Favorite Things list in 2021.

Sai De Silva, 41 – Fashion and lifestyle blogger who resides in Brooklyn with husband and their two children

De Silva, 41, is the creative director of the blog Scout the City. It originated as a passion project blog before it quickly evolved into an popular online lifestyle destination.

The Afro-Latina fashionista currently resides in Brooklyn with husband David Craig and their two children, London and Rio.

De Silva, who is Puerto Rican, Brazilian and Cuban, was born in Los Angeles, California but moved to NY when she was two.

Her blog features ‘beauty tips, style advice as well as relatable family content’, with the star stating: ‘I’m transparent and authentic and I’m here to inspire and motivate you!’ 

Jessel Taank – Fashion publicist who is making history as the first Indian Housewife

Making history: Taank is a fashion publicist of British-Indian descent and the first Indian Housewife

Stylish pair: She is married to her financier husband Pavit Randhawa. The couple share twin boys together

Taank is a fashion publicist and brand consultant of British-Indian descent.

She met her husband, financier Pavit Randhawa, after they were introduced by a friend at an NYC bar. 

Romance didn’t spark immediately, and they remained close friends for years before they began to date.

The two married in Mexico in 2014 and share twin boys.

Lizzy Savetsky, 36 – Digital influencer and activist, who is the wife of plastic surgeon Dr. Ira Savetsky

Brynn Whitfield – Brand marketing professional and social media influencer

Whitfield is a brand marketing and communications professional who describes herself as a ‘trophy wife in training’.

Originally from a small town in the Midwest, Brynn was raised by her grandmother who taught her invaluable lessons about navigating life, owning her narrative as a biracial woman and the true meaning of hard work.

The social media influencer has a penchant for interior design, fashion, and hosting dinner parties from her West Village apartment.  

Erin Dana Lichy, 35 – Home renovation and design firm owner who is married to attorney and owner of Lichy Law, Abraham Lichy

It comes after the show’s ratings radically dropped during Season 13, which starred Sonja Morgan, Leah McSweeney, Ramona Singer, Eboni K. Williams and Luann de Lesseps.

Cohen spoke about the show at BravoCon: ‘I think that our plan is actually brilliant because we’re allowing people to not only get an entirely new reboot of The Real Housewives of New York, where we’re going to be telling new stories outside of this little postage stamp area on the Upper East Side from these women that we’ve been following for however many years.’

‘But we’re also going to be able to still be with the women that we love on whatever the legacy show is called. And so, I think it’s the best of all possible worlds for RHONY fans.’

Real Housewives of New York City premiered March 4, 2008, and starred Jill Zarin, Bethenny Frankel, Luann de Lesseps, Alex McCord, Ramona Singer.
