Rapper T.I. has been sued by investors for allegedly duping them with a cryptocurrency scam, TMZ reports.
T.I. and his business partner Ryan Felton had launched FLiK Token back in August 2017. According to the investors, Felton had said the cryptocurrency would surge from its opening price of 6 cents to $14.99 within 15 months.
In documents obtained by TMZ, two dozen plaintiffs who invested in the cryptocurrency venture say the tokens initially jumped from 6 cents to 21 cents, however, as of August 2018 are worth less than a penny.
The investors are suing T.I. for at least $5 million.
