Zara McDermott discusses her injuries from dancing
Strictly Come Dancing hopeful Zara McDermott has revealed she is overcoming a foot injury just before the live show this weekend, where she will be performing with dance partner Graziano Di Prima.
Zara, 27, said Graziano, 29, urged her to wear men’s shoes during rehearsals instead of heels as she got to grips with the dance moves, but made a U-turn on his own advice which resulted in pain.
The ex Love Island star claimed her dance partner brought in shoes for her to put on, but they came with a “little cuban heel”.
As rehearsals commenced, she told him: “‘It’s not working, I need to take them off’ and he said, ‘No, no you’re fine’.
“I said honestly it’s hurting and I took them off and my feet were bleeding. I was like, ‘I told you I am not being dramatic!’

“My feet are feeling better this week, I feel like they’re getting harder now.”
Speaking to The Sun on Tuesday night, Zara added she was “finally getting” the Cha Cha Cha, which will be seen on Saturday.
Zara and Graziano have been giving fans an insight into their training together on Instagram and TikTok, much to the delight of their fans.
Yesterday, she shared a video of the pair lip-syncing a Kardashian scene about taking offence to jokes after he likened her dancing to a camel.
The reality star jokingly told fans she still wasn’t over the comment made to her on day one, but revealed she was now making progress.

Zara’s boyfriend Sam Thompson, who rose to fame on Made In Chelsea, has been supporting her journey so far.
The pair briefly called it quits after she admitted to being unfaithful during the early stages of their relationship, but she insists there are no worries at all about her doing Strictly with Graziano.
Speaking to The Sun’s Fabulous Magazine, she said: “No [we aren’t worried about the infamous Strictly Curse].
“We’ve never had to have that conversation, because we both work in very intense environments on TV shows.
“It’s just been pure excitement from every perspective.”
She went on to say neither are “jealous” people and that he is “so proud” of her for doing the show.
Zara will take to the dance floor for the first time amongst 14 fellow celebrities this weekend.
