The Strictly Come Dancing cast are wrapping up their first week on the road for the 2023 live tour. Despite wowing audiences across the country with their fabulous routines, the BBC show often hits the headlines with speculation of feuds between the stars.

Most recently, the rumour mill has been in overdrive after it appears winner Hamza Yassin unfollowed Giovanni Pernice on social media after reports he is dating Jowita Przystal.

It comes after Giovanni and his celebrity partner, Richie Anderson, also had to deny any rift between them during the competition.

The Italian told Janette Manrara on It Takes Two that “there is no problem” and they were “having a good time”.

Now, Luba Mushtuk, 33, has broken her silence on whether there really is any drama behind the scenes.

She said: “[We all get on really well] and I’m not sure why people can’t just believe it.

“Like people go, ‘Oh, you probably just say it’. No! We are not just saying it.

“We do love each other and we support each other and there is no sort of drama behind the scenes. We are all just a great, great team.”

Her love for her colleagues also extends to their families and Luba expressed her delight at Gorka Marquez’s baby news with partner Gemma Atkinson.

The couple announced they were expecting their second child, a son, earlier this week. They already share three-year-old Mia.

Luba gushed: “I am so, so happy for them. I absolutely adore Mia and I send her some skirts and some dresses because she adores them and now there will be a boy! So, more shopping lists to do.”

The Russian dancer joined Strictly Come Dancing in 2018 and has competed twice, first with rower James Cracknell in 2019 and then sports pundit Jason Bell in 2020.

However, Luba has not had a partner for the last two years and is still striving to make it past Week Three.

On her hopes for a partner next year, Luba exclaimed: “Let’s hope! Look I have crossed legs, crossed arms, everything is crossed!

“But you see, I have been waiting because the next partner that I have, it will be the one. So, sometimes it’s better to wait and get the best one. So hopefully that will be the case.”

Luba and the Strictly Come Dancing team are currently in Nottingham and will head to cities including Leeds, Manchester and London in the coming weeks.

She said it is “going great” and that she is loving performing for the “amazing” audiences.

Also joining her on the tour are Hamza, Helen Skelton, Fleur East, Will Mellor, Molly Rainford, Ellie Simmonds and Tyler West.

Dianne Buswell, Amy Dowden and Neil Jones are also among the pros taking to the stage.

Anton Du Beke, Shirley Ballas and Craig Revel Horwood have also returned as judges and Janette Manrara is the host.
