Shirley Ballas has been slammed after praising deaf Rose Ayling-Ellis for ‘blocking the noise out’ during her performance on Saturday night’s Strictly Come Dancing.
The judge, 61, made the error as she critiqued the EastEnders star’s dance with her professional partner Giovanni Pernice.
She told Rose, whose dance followed Nancy Xu and Rhys Stephenson’s: ‘Before Rhys went on before you there was lots of noise, clapping.

Fans were quick to notice the error and took to Twitter to give their reaction.
One viewer fumed: ‘Is Shirley taking the p**s??? Talking about how Rose blocked out the noise before the performance???’

The actress then showed off her daring side as she launched herself into the air and was caught by Giovanni mid-air in a move that’s never been seen on the show before.
Craig gushed over the ‘amazing lift’ and said: ‘The whole thing was absolutely amazing – fantastic!’, while Anton added: ‘Every time I watch you dance you touch my heart and I love it.’

The actress and her pro partner Giovanni received one nine and three tens, giving them an almost perfect score of 39.
The rest of the quarter final was also blighted by errors after TWO couples suffered major mistakes at the end of their dance routines in what turned out to be a blunder-filled show.
During the first performance of the evening, John Whaite accidentally dropped his partner Johannes Radebe at the end of their Salsa when things went wrong during a lift transition.

Later in the show, AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington also fumbled their big lift moments before the end of their routine, resulting in a clumsy ending to their otherwise impressive Salsa.
Rhys and Rose landed joint top of the leaderboard with 39 points a piece thanks to their flawless dances.
Rhys and partner Nancy – who narrowly avoided being sent home last week – lit up the floor with an intense and passionate Argentine Tango to In The Air Tonight by Phil Collins.

And the judges clearly loved what they saw, with Anton gushing: ‘I absolutely nailed it! It needed to be intense, to be involved, mature – it had all of above and more!’
While head judge Shirley Ballas enthused: ‘I’m breathless, I’m speechless, you are amazing!’
