‘Why deliberately ruin the show?’: Strictly Come Dancing fans are left furious after the Christmas special result leaks online
Strictly Come Dancing fans have been left furious after the result of the Christmas special was leaked online, three weeks ahead of it airing on TV.
The festive episode, which stars past contestants such as Gemma Atkinson and Mark Wright, was filmed on Tuesday and the winner revealed online.
After seeing the spoiler, several people complained the special had been ‘ruined’ for them and that ‘people really don’t care about others’.

It is thought that an audience member let slip the result. MailOnline is not revealing who the Christmas Glitterball champions are.
One shocked fan tweeted: ‘Just checked under the strictly spoiler tweet and wow people really don’t care about others they fully mention the name of the pro or the celebrity. don’t they realize that not everyone would like to know before christmas??’
While another fan was told the result by someone on Twitter, prompting them to say that they had ‘decided to deliberately ruin the Christmas show for me’.
Festive show: Mark Wright, who danced on Strictly in 2014, will also take part in the Christmas episode
Another added: ‘As if an election on the run up to Christmas wasn’t a killer I’ve just seen the strictly spoiler. Shoot me now.’
However some said they were going to refrain from checking the spoiler and instead keep the result for Christmas night.
One fan wrote: ‘Okay I decided I don’t wanna ruin it for myself pls don’t leak spoilers I wanna save the Strictly Christmas special for xmas cheers.’
And someone else said: ‘If you want the spoiler result of Christmas Strictly please dm and keep it off the timeline. So you don’t spoil it for others. Thanks’

In November the BBC confirmed the lineup for the Christmas special, with two real life couples dancing together.
Gorka Marquez, who was left out of the professional cast for this year’s main series, is teaming up with his real-life partner Gemma Atkinson, after they met on the show two years ago.
Gemma was partnered with Aljaž Škorjanec in 2017, but fell for his fellow pro Gorka, with the pair welcoming their daughter Mia in July.
Saving it: Others decided they would wait to find out who lifts the Christmas Glitterball
Another real life couple set to dance for the Christmas trophy are Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell, who made it to the finals of last year’s main show.
Kevin Clifton meanwhile will dance with 2017 celeb favourite Debbie McGee, and Janette Manara will be partnered with Mark Wright, who appeared on the show in 2014.
Graziano Di Prima will hit the floor with actress Chizzy Akudolu while GMB presenter Richard Arnold will be dancing with Luba Mushtuk

The celebrity lineup was announced in November, with Gemma gushing that she couldn’t wait to return to the show that ‘changed my life.’
On her return, the radio presenter said: ‘I had the absolute best time on Strictly and it completely changed my life.
‘I am absolutely overjoyed to be returning to the dancefloor this Christmas with a new challenge, and of course to be back with the gang.’
Thrilled to be back: Richard Arnold competed in 2012 (pictured with Erin Boag) and got to week seven of the competition before he was sent home
Each of the six couples will perform a Christmas inspired routine in a bid to be crowned Christmas champions 2019.
Hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, the show wouldn’t be complete without the festive foursome on the judging panel: Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Bruno Tonioli and Head Judge Shirley Ballas.
The judges will be on hand to score each couple and spread some cheerful joy, yet it will be down to the studio audience to vote for which dancing duo will win the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special 2019 and lift the famous Silver Star trophy.
