Slipknot released a creepy teaser for their upcoming sixth studio album on Twitter on Wednesday.
The yet to be named album is being produced by Greg Fidelman and is scheduled to be released on August 9.
The one-minute video, which shows footage from inside the studio and some horror-inspired imagery, also features distorted Corey Taylor vocals. About half-way through the clip, the text “SMPTE UNIVERSAL LEADER” appears on the screen.
The new album will include the song “All Out Life,” which was released last October.
The album will also deal with Taylor’s depression that led to a divorce and forced him to “figure out who I was” without relapsing into substance abuse.
