Safaree Samuels has got the plug, and not just on his head.
After Nicki Minaj revealed during an interview with Funkmaster Flex on Tuesday that she’d paid $12,000 for the “Hunnid” rapper’s hair transplant surgery, the two former lovers began a heated Twitter argument — that landed Samuels not only a potential book deal, but also a sponsorship opportunity.
“Wow. woke up to a book deal offer for over 500k and an endorsement deal for a hair club for men ??? and that was the 1st offer ?? THANK YOU BABY ? guess imma add author to my long list of hustles,” the musician tweeted Wednesday morning.
This offer comes after the “Queen” rapper once again confirmed that her boyfriend of 12 years had hair transplants on Twitter, writing, “I should’ve never paid for that gyatDamn hairline!!!! It fell back out cuz God don’t like ugly!!!! You used me but God had other plans!!!!!”
Minaj’s fans quickly inundated Samuels’ Twitter mentions with a photo of his pre-surgery hairline, to which he responded, “No joke I made 30k today just by referring ppl to the doctor who did my hairline … Thank youuu all.. the funny thing is it’s never been a secret dat pic is 7 years old but I’ll be posting more info about my doctor later.. thank y’all internet”
It seems fellow rapper (and hair transplant recipient) Tyga is also in the market for a little referral money. At the height of Samuels’ feud with Minaj on Tuesday, the rapper tweeted a screenshot of the website of the doctor who performed his surgery, asking fans to “tellem Tyga sent u.”
If their deal with Safaree falls through, Hair Club for Men might want to consider reaching out to Tyga — and Elon Musk, while they’re at it.
Page Six has reached out to Hair Club for Men for comment and has yet to hear back.
