Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri says Cristiano Ronaldo is still adapting to Italian football.
The Portuguese superstar is yet to find the net for his new side after two Serie A matches.
Ronaldo was far from his best against Lazio on Saturday but did register an assist as Juve ran out 2-0 winners.
Allegri has no doubt the 33-year-old’s fortunes will improve once he becomes accustomed to life in Serie A.
"It takes time. Italian football is completely different to Spanish football," the Juventus boss said.
“Ronaldo understands that and he is settling in very well.
“He’s a very humble guy and I’m very pleased with the impact he has made so far."
Ronaldo, who was back in the gym on Sunday morning, was also defended by teammate Blaise Matuidi.
Matuidi said: "He is the best player in the world.
“For us it is something exceptional, we are very happy to play with him. We know that if he scores goals it will help us win more matches.
"We’re going to help him score goals because it is in his DNA."
