Michael Kopech and Vanessa Morgan are getting divorced just three days after she announced they were expecting a boy together.
According to TMZ, citing court docs, the Chicago White Sox pitcher filed to split from the actress on June 19.
The pitching prospect, 24, who has decided not to play this year amid the COVID-19 pandemic, was not on hand when the TV stunner, 28, had a gender reveal last week.

Along with her lengthy caption, Morgan included photos from her gender reveal party, a snapshot of her positive pregnancy test, and a video from her very first ultrasound.
‘Was debating keeping this part of my life hidden but I knew people would see pictures eventually with my belly & I wanted you guys to hear it from me,’ began Vanessa, who boasts 8.6million followers on Instagram.
Though she wanted to be the ‘first to share the news’, Morgan emphasized that she intends to ‘keep this chapter of [her] life private.’

To conclude her emotional post, Morgan included a quote from the beloved children’s book Love You Forever by Robert Munsch.

In the various clips and photos shared from her gender reveal party, Vanessa sported a spaghetti strap maxi dress that aptly included the colors pink and blue in its pattern.

Kopech, who was previously involved with Bravo star Brielle Biermann, proposed to Morgan in July of 2019, during a trip to Havasu Falls, Arizona. They exchanged vows January 4 at Florida’s Historic Walton House.
White Sox general manager Rick Hahn announced earlier this month that the right-hander would not be playing in the abbreviated baseball season.
‘Michael Kopech has informed us of his decision to not participate in the 2020 season,’ Hahn said July 10, according to ESPN. ‘We recognize that reaching this decision is incredibly difficult for any competitive athlete, and our organization is understanding and supportive.’
