Princess Madeleine of Sweden can now add children’s author to her royal résumé!
The mom of three, 36, shared the cover art of a children’s book that she authored, titled Stella and the Secret, on Instagram Monday.
“I’m very excited to finally share with you a book which will hopefully show children how important it is to stand up for themselves and to tell someone when something doesn’t feel right,” she captioned the post, adding the hashtag #worldchildhoodfoundation.
Madeleine’s mother, Queen Silvia, founded the organization that fights for children who are neglected, abandoned or abused in 1999. Her daughter cofounded the organization’s ThankYou initiative that aims to build support for the prevention of sexual abuse and exploitation of children.
Princess Madeleine shared that she was working on a children’s book during a Feb. 2017 interview with Swedish outlet Expressen.
“At the moment, I can only say that it will be fun,” she said at the time.
Madeleine and her husband, Chris O’Neill, announced in August that they were relocating to Florida with their three children: Princess Leonore, 4, and Prince Nicolas, 3, and Princess Adrienne, 10 months.
Madeleine continued her work with the World Childhood Foundation after the move, with Queen Silvia even joining her daughter in New York City for the World Childhood Foundation USA 2018 Thank You Gala in October.
“Princess Madeleine has a great commitment to children’s rights and will continue working with the World Childhood Foundation and, through the move, be able to focus more on the activities in the United States,” the Swedish Royal Court announced.
